Default Rvr 12-14-14

Sorry for the delayed post/report. Life has been in the way since Monday lol...

Met up with GetANet Sunday morning and we headed to RVR. We were on the water by 9:45-10:00. Trolled 3 rods; nothing crazy... Flat lines and planer boards. Small to smallish plugs were the ticket for the 2 lakers we nabbed. One about 16" and the other around 23". Marks were tough to come by where we fished and both fish were caught around 30-40' of water--on medium to shallow running plugs. Wind picked up around 2 PM as was forecasted and we were off the water by 2:45. Not a bad way to spend a mild December day. It was also my 1st lake trout--one more scratched off the ol' list!

Here's som pics! Catch em' up!

Bad luck for me this fall casting from the eastern shore. A brown & a bow on the first outing,……..a laker on the next one. 6 more outings, …only a 15 inch smallie.

I did poorly another year when the res. was low. Also, NJDF&W did not stock this year due to frunc. @ the hatchery.

Lol pretty sure it's bc our faces were just about frozen! Crazy thing is, once we got back to shore and started putting the boat back on the trailer it felt 10-15 degrees warmer. There was even a guy fishing off the main launch docks in shorts! Crazy SOB!

Can never find a hat that fits my large crainum that one fits good and its fleece so it keeps me warm on those winter dayz! Was A decent day for december but def cold and we were a little chilly to say the least! We got one fish on a med diver and one on a 2 inch jointed shad rap in blue and silver. Both fish came from about 30ft of water on the south tower side made one pass and picked one turned around and made a pass over the the same area and picked the second one up. Glad Jeremy got his first laker! Nice fish to boot! Not manatoba monsters but was glad to put a couple on the the GetANet. Didn't mark much at all this weekend compared to last and water temp was 43 degrees.
The fish are biting so just gotta get out there guys!!!
Hey Rob that is my happy face what are you talking about? LOL
We're serious fisherman!!!!!LOL
On to something Bigger and Better this weekend.........Hopefully stay tuned and we'll see what happens!
