Default Raritan bay/keyport area questions

Looking to take my 14 ft Carolina skiff out in the bay tomorrow. I launch from keyport and usually fiah in that general area. Has anybody heard if any bass or blues in the area? And if there are what have they been catching them on? Any help is very much appreciated

The Carolina Skiff J14 is a nice little boat, but you WILL get the crap knocked out of you in 3-4 footers....
If I were down there, I would put it in the Shrewsbury River at first light and try for schoolie stripers and then later on if it lays down, you can shoot over to the Hook and check for working birds.. Bottom line, have a back up plan to fishing the open bay... bob
