Don't be fooled by the pics. The Raritan is your average East coast river, wide, flat, shallow. Average depth on that day was about 2 feet. Some spots 3 to 6 and maybe very few spots deeper than that. As shallow as it is, the river still seems to hold plenty of fish. Water started getting deeper down by Landing Lane bridge in New Brunswick.
