Default Lees county marina

I might be going to the big lake since they showing rain and cooler weather maybe it will keep most of the yahoos off the lake. Just wanted to know what time lees opens or if they are closed where do i pay and how much is it now to launch. I tried calling them twice but no answer.

Thanks,
Mike

24/7
there are envelopes with a form and a drop box if the booth is unattended. you pay the fee and launch as usual.

It's at the far south end of the lake (Google is your friend, remember).

Depending on the size of your motor, it can take a little bit to get up the north end where most of the fishing spots are.

If I'm out in my 14' tin boat, I only have a 5hp on it, so I put it in at Lee's. I keep my 21' on the lake occasionally, but that also goes in and out at Lee's because I know I can trust the ramps and the water around them.

Its about 3-4 miles on the water from the state park to the northernmost fishing spots. Although, as it's been pointed out, it's $20 to launch, but the facilities are good and it puts me much closer to the areas I fish, so it's worth it to me in order to spend the time fishing, instead of commuting to the fishing spots.

in landing at the south end
downside of the state park is that the ramp closes at 7 and you have to be out of the parking lot by 8.
maybe they aren't as strict about that after labor day, but the state park police were johnny-on-the-spot with that earlier this summer

from what I see going by the state park on the way to my dock its open 24/7 in the off season. The locking of gates is memorial day to labor day im pretty sure. If your keeping the boat in the water and just use lees to dump in and out do it after hours during the week and its 12bucks. The 10pack pass is 120 thats a good way too, never expires, mines from 2012 and still has launches
