Default The coolest non-fish pic I've taken while fishing...

So, I've been exploring the state parks over the past month and took a drive out to a couple out near the Del Water Gap yest. Was fishing in a tiny little lake and managed to catch a couple rainbows before another fisherman decided to join me... a bald eagle. Swooped down and took a fish and then hung out on a limb for an hour while I fished. So freakin' cool.

That's great. I've always said one of the best things about fishing is the beautiful places it takes us and the things we see when we're there.

So amazing how they have made such a comeback. I have a few spots I see them consistently!

Here's a few I saw over in Poconos last week. I see them on almost every large lake over there now.

Saw one fly 20 feet overhead at my sons little league practice about a month ago. It was about a mile from a known nest. Another coach and I thought it was amazing, kids could care less. They have no idea that its was on the verge of almost disappearing from most of the US years ago. I still remember a school report I did back in the 80's about it being endangered. Beautiful bird.

The pair up at MCR has been there for years... They're well-fed and well-protected. I've seen them by Lake Solitude, too. Prob snacking on those healthy club trout!
