![]() Went to the canal in West Trenton even tough the water was high and muddy. I never saw anyone else fishing all weekend and had the whole place to myself. They are not biting like in years past but I've been getting one or two every time I go on garden worms. They will follow a spinner but won't hit. No luck using CD1's either, last year they where the best lure. I did catch a small mouth on a white roostertail though. First one of the year about 12".

![]() The D&R broke when Sandy hit about a mile north of where I fish on the feeder canal. They set up a temporary dam but I've yet to see anyone working on fixing the breech. Some think that is the reason why the fish are so hard to catch this year and why none of the traditional holes are producing. I don't buy that though, IMO it's got more to do with real cold water, treated fish, and no easy to catch brookies being stocked.
