Default Sunday Mass

Hit the Big Mac Sunday with Tropics, Dan the Pa beer guy, Archie and Ralph and his friend Larry. Nice sunshine most of the day and mild temps but the wind and current we're brutal and made it tough to keep the bait on the bottom even with 20 oz sinkers. Capt Jim did his best and mate Bob was always there when you needed him. We did manage to all go home with a couple meals worth of Cod, Haddock and redfish. Special thanks to Tropics for supplying enough pastrami and corned beef sandwiches to feed a small army and the home made pickles . . .damn fine eats brother!

I am going to be up there on the 12th fishing with Jim! Sounds like a decent trip after the weather last week. I am hoping for calm seas and great weather and for some fish to cooperate!!!!

Good luck to ya buddy!
We went out just after some pretty crummy weather so we couldn't really expect too much.
Capt said water temp was still on the low side so he hadn't been going to Stellwagon but was going to start making the ride soon but didn't mention when. We fished depths between 190 and 250 plus. Autopsies showed the fish to still be feeding in the mud on crustations so you might still be bait fishing. I brought one rod in the medium range and the "big stick", the medium went for a boat ride. Depth, current and 20 oz of lead was a bit of a workout. You tilefish boys have my respect.
