Halibut 2014, like 2013!!!
it had been a decade since HALIBUT were caught on STELLWAGEN BANK. 2013 they reappeared in modest to good numbers. fish up to 82 pds. were landed with larger ones lost, one right at the boat. fishing the gravel bottom using jigs and salmon heads we caught them in may and june. various forms of bait and water temps. probably caused the reappearance. one of pics. below is the world record 50# test line class record caught two decades ago.
