Default watersheds

Does anyone have information on the Newark watersheds?
Will permits be issued this season and when? I called the
echo office and the phone is disconnected.

New number is (973)697-1724. They temporarily closed but are up are running again. I think they may be closed for the winter. I know all lakes reopen on opening day of trout and I think you can get permits in March.

I have a kayak and fish it all the time, but i don't mind the reservoirs being real boats only... At least it keeps recreational kayakers off the lakes, so you dont have to deal with a pair of retirees cruising between you and the shoreline you are working like happens at so many other spots in NNJ.
