BOUNTY HUNTER - Season Opener, Great Bass Fishing! 5/1
It was the season opener for the Bounty Hunter. On board we had Bounty Hunter regulars Frank, Kate and Tom along with newcomers Ginny and Dave. An early morning search for yesterday's Jig fish proved futile so we were off to the Clam grounds. Paul set up a mile from the fleet which was the right move as we had the Bass biting throughout the tide. Ginny landed her first Bass ever and finished up with 9. Frank boxed a nice 37" Bass. It was good fishing and the crews tally for the day was a limit catch of 12 Bass which included 2 Bonus fish while they releasing over 20 keepers and shorts. We are sailing Open next week. check the Open Boat Forum for dates and availability.
