Default Clam beds

Anybody been on the ocean side of sandy hook for stripers yet or still everyone in the bay? Was thinking the water was a little cold still.

The bay proved fruitful for me and buddy last night. He nailed a 30 lb fish that measured 38". I had a 33" that was roughly 15 lbs. From the shore... Clams.

Who's guessing? We had a scale. Here's a pic of the 30 lb @ 38 inches. She was a fuggin' piggy! Kept her on ice all night and will be filleting her tonight. I'll let you know how many whole adult bunker I pull out of her guts!

The smaller one was 33" and 15 lbs and few one-hundredths on the digi... She falls properly onto the chart...

Judging by the growing number of bunker showing up in the bay, I guess we'll see...

Opinions opinions opinions... I'm heading back to the freshwater forum where its enjoyable. Guy asks a bay vs ocean question, i provide a polite, quality answer letting him know they're chewing in the bay still, and the assumptions emerge.

Not the same level of pleasantry in the brine forums as there is in the sweetwater forum.
