Great post....I was under the complete wrong impression of what taper meant when it applied to rods. Thats why this site is invaluable to the fisherman who is first generation like myself. I had no one to pass down knowledge but this site fills the gap....I also learn off of all the thousands of F#*K ups I've partaken in
