Default First Fish of '13
Had some time to fish today so I decided to hit the river for a couple hours. Got there around 11 and started out with a hj but found no love. Switched over to a crankbait and, after a few casts I hooked into a real nice smallie. Didn't weigh but him but he was heavy, and, although he didn't jump, put up a great fight. Stayed a while longer but got nothin else, off the water by 1.

Felt good to get that first fish of the new year, lookin forward to many more!!!

Great fish to start the year with.

Maybe it's the angle of the photo but that's a slamming sized tail on that smallie.
