![]() I started a new job this week. I noticed signs in the parking lot warning it was a "flood area, park at your own risk". Today I looked a little closer and the Rockaway River was about 50 feet from the parking lot, with trout stocking signs on the trees.
Next week I'm throwing my fishing gear and waders in the car. Nothing like being able to walk from your office to the river at the end of the work day. I think I will like working here. |

![]() know the area well. was good when they stocked brookies but not so much now. besides trout area has smallies and the occasional pickeral. if you follow the river upstream it takes you into downtown where i think they do a better job of stocking. also river is closed mondays til 5pm but i don't think many people read the signs. also good down river in boonton with dams and falls.
