NO WAY am I ever rigging a hook or my main line to a split ring for tuna .

Seen way too many times the hooks cord or the lane slips into the split ring and it fails .

Jig to a split ring that’s attached to the solid ring .
Jig never has any weight on it
You lost me there on the split ring to split ring. I know thier twin hooks have split rings, so you can either put a Spro on the split ring, or put another solid ring on the split ring instead of the swivel.

The other thing I've seen is SeaBuoy swivels with solid rings on them.
