Hot ice action to start 2021
A few places have good ice and we've been taking advantage of it! Even less places have thick enough ice to survive the rain we're going to get, but we'll be out there checking again as soon as it's over.
Fished the hard stuff most of the weekend and twice after work this week. Flags were flying on sunday with perch and pickerel, but the biggest perch hit like a train on the ultralite jigging rod! hell of a fight too... thought it was a nice bass or pickerel! jigging and tip up shared most of the action split. It is good to see these reports. lets hope we can get passed the warm spell that we will see this weekend. you guys are on some good fish well done my ice brothers be safe and FLAGGGG UP :cool:

Yeah, the temps line up really nicely for the 26th, if I get that day off. Scheduling is not going well for me.

Hopatcong on another hand, had shoreline destroyed but still had ice in all of the coves. two weeks and it be fishable finally. On a side note Comrade Putin Pickerel Removal Service is open and be glad to get rid of any unwanted toothy critters free of charge. We even supply our own beer. Contracted for whitefish and splake fishing for upcoming weekend though.:D Andre |
