cast far and retrieve steadily after the jig hit the bottom. It was tricky to feel the bottom with 4 oz hammered diamond jig as current was very fast..

How can you weigh the life time fish ?

Weight of a fat-bodied fish
(bass, salmon)
(length x girth x girth)/800

Funny, when I made a post with a non-sponsor boat hundreds of miles away it taken down within the hour. Weird administration.

Nice striped bass.

Congrats on that beautiful bass Ksong! It looks like you have the whole boat to yourself. Is that the case? Was it a evening trip? Thanks

We had only 4 anglers and Capt decided to go. They say high tide has the best bites and I believe it was during high tide. The trip is from 5 pm to 9;30 pm.

Great fish and pic. I am curious why people presume weighing fish = dead fish. Weighed many and watched them swim away. Seems the "experts" say this kills fish. As Kilsong said, if you don't want to hurt fish then Don't go fishing

This is hilarious. Seriously. First, I am all for catch and release. But has anyone stopped to think that we suddenly impale a metal shank, which often can get gut hooked upon strike, and then drag a fish up from the depths against their will when “fishing”? Even if not gut hooked, yeah, no stress on the fish there lol. And then people have complain about the release? If you don’t want to potentially kill a fish, then don’t fish. And if you do kill a fish, make sure it doesn’t go to waste. It’s not hard math.

So many look at me haters.

Kil, it’s been awhile and congrats on the catch and intended release on that impressive fish.
