Default Sea Bass Regulations Set

As expected the NJMFC set the sea bass regulations as follows:
12.5" size limit, 20 fish bag limit, seasons 5/19-8/8, 9/27-10/14 and 11/1-12/31. The council will consider extending our fluke season by up to 11 days at their July meeting. Hopefully, they will approve that so there will be no gap from when fluke season ends until sea bass season reopens.

There has not yet been any determination as to whether there will be a Jan/Feb season in 2014. My guess is that there will be though.

Their is no open season in January or February of 2014. We got a so call "break" this time around. Don't think it will happen again any time soon or ever.

Clearly the dates that Paul stated does not have Jan or Feb. 12.5" size limit, 20 fish bag limit, seasons 5/19-8/8, 9/27-10/14 and 11/1-12/31.

The date posted are for the remainder of this year I would think. Just like we don't know next years fluke season we don't know next years seabass season.
