Been noticing no recent post or new Fish P@rn, so here is a quick post.
Went out last night anticipating the bite to slow down with the colder weather approaching. Fished for about 2 hours and landed about 20 bass. Ranging from tiny dinks, to this 3lb beauty. She was hanging under a rock a few feet away from where I was standing. She came out swiped at my lure and missed. No time for me to set the hook more like it. I screamed, “ WHOA.. What was that just came out of that rock, big silver flash.. either a GIANT crappie or a 3lb bass”. Threw again knowing she was there and anticipated the hook set. I was using a northland weasel ¼ oz weedless jig with a 3’ Berkley ripple shad in firetiger.
Jon caught several fish in the 1lb to 1.5lb range. He was using 1/16 OZ hog hunter weedless jig with a 3inch brown Berkley crawler worm.
We saw several beds (but couldn't see any fish in them) and the fish we caught closer to shore rather than out deep.
