WED-FRI blackfishing report RockBottom

We have been running since opening day so heres a report on the first few days. Been an up and down week and have a few openings left for next weekend.

WED:
Way to kick off opening day! Had a real slow start but then we would get flurries of some real good action. Some times we went 30 minutes without a fish but you just had to wait them out today. Had the best bite a little later in the day and had 4 nice fish from 7 to 8.4lbs with Mari getting the big one of the day. Ended up with our boat limit and looking forward to the rest of the week. HH had 12 keepers and one had 24 shorts.

THURS:
Thursday we had out Allan and Jerry for the second day in a row and Randy and a few of his friends. Got out before the sun and had a real nice sunrise. Had one fish right off the bat but right at the surface it was bit in half by a big blue, with a few more following behind. Would have been a keeper too. Had to grind them out for the second day in a row. A few guys were going back and forth between jigs and hooks doing good on both. One had a solid 9lb 14oz on a jig with a few other 7's as well. Allan was HH with 14 keepers. Went to call it and then a quick mad dog bite happened which helped out and we ended the day just a couple shy of our boat limit.

FRI:
Today was definitely different. Had out Carl and his group. a lot less current out today and as soon as we stopped it was game on for about 45 minutes. After that the bite died again and went back to a slow pick with a few here and there, some shorts, and then some lulls. We had to adjust a few times with changing winds but otherwise we didn't move far because everyone's been struggling all week. Had plenty of bites all day but the fish just wouldn't commit, still a very off bite. Lost a lot of fish too, but that's fishing. Ended the day a little early a few short of our limit, definitely the slower of the days thus far. Fish today ate both greens and whites, pretty equally.

Thursday 11/24 - 3 spots (will be back by noon)
Sat 11/26 - 1 spot
Sun 11/27 - 2 spots

We had a good time on Friday. Plenty of fish but too many shorties. We thank you for a good trip and excellent service. Happy Thanksgiving !!
