Default my pb white perch

went to the cong and met up with bunker dunker and the prez last night to see if i could kick this horrible walleye skunkin i got going on here and only caught three nice sized rock bass and a pb white perch 12" and just over 1lb,not too bad but the walleye skunkin continues, oh well i will keep at it.

I like White Perch. In many bodies of water they seem to have out-populated the Yellow Perch.
They actually aren't perch, but very small bass. Taxonomists put them in the genus Morone, the same genus as Striped Bass.

strange why don't they just call them white bass. thanks for that tid bit of info,i did not know that they were actually in the bass family,so that's why they cross them with stripers to get hybrids aka" wipers"

I don't think they are the same species. white bass are different and get much bigger. I don't believe we have them in NJ.

Hybrid Striped Bass are a cross of Female Striped Bass and Male White Bass. Like Chris said, unfortunately no White Bass in NJ.

Right. White Bass are a whole different species that live in the midwest.

White Perch - Morone americana

White Bass - Morone chrysops

Striped Bass - Morone saxatilis

Hybrid Striped Bass - Morone chrysops x Morone saxatilis
