New Years on the mimi

Well no one else put up a report so I guess it's up to me. Great way to ring in the new year, on the mimi with a nice day for 1/1. The company was great. Fished with friends old and new. YOU GET WHERE IM GOIN DONT YOU?

I had a lab limit. And didn't have that unt the end of the day. At least I took the dolla dolla be tween me and reel nauti. That's right, if you do the math, nauti got skunked (and wasn't the only one). So some did worse then me but most did better. But really a fun day.

Salt and I were on the OE yesterday, we also had 1 each with a few shorts mixed in. We at one point did see the Mimi. Hope you have a great year fishing. Jeff

Had a great time on the MIMI yesterday. Windy and cold but the ball busting warmed me up a bit. I met some new friends and also got to fish with Shrimpy after a long hiatus. Some things never change, and that's a good thing. He is still the master ball breaker. It was really nice to see Reel Nauti again and fish next to him. Also met fishnchips...he stole a few of my hits and I didn't punch him in the nose. Thanks Bill for taking a pic of my pool winner, which was weighed and released.

I too had a real fun day with loads of laughs and was able to box 3 out of 10. Hats off to Capt. Kenny, Josh and Chris for being right there for all our needs. The most impressive part of the day for me was the fact that the two biggest fish to hit the deck, that I saw, were released to fight another day including the pool fish (everyone aboard agreed that Shrimpy's scale could decide the pool). Very classy Boys!!!!

I was up in the bow in a group of 4. We were 1 short of our limit. I caught 6 keepers myself. Freaking wind was howling but totally fish able. Nice to meet some of you guys. Great trip.

Great to see the Mick and Shrimp come out of retirement. They are two good guys and good blackfishermen that I miss fishing next too. Please let me know when you two have time to go again and lets put something together. Good job by all.
