The best spots are the ones you find yourself. Nothing more rewarding than hunting em down. Catchin is just a bonus.

So I would say, arm yourself with a bunch of lures and tactics, and start hunting. Dont forget to bring along your license and a good attitude in case you get stopped along the way. And don't get frustrated. Just be confident they're there and throw the box at em. Some days you'll find action, others you won't. But that's just my approach..........

Anywhere you can find an open spot on the Passaic river above the Dundee falls all the way up to the pompton river and past
is going to have Pike, small mouth, large mouth, perch, cats, etc......

Google maps...awesome fishery depending on conditions and section you fish. Ive yet to explore a lot of it but it helps to get in a kayak or small boat to cover a lot of water but by all means that is not necessary. I walked the passaic banks for two years before throwing a kayak in there. Goodluck and if you ever want to get out there and give it a shot shoot me a PM I'm always ready to toss a line.
