![]() Decided to hit Indian Mills Lake yesterday for the first time. Me and my dad pass by it going to lakes in South Jersey all the time. Got on the water around 3:15 pm. We fished the entire lake except for the back part which is about 6 in. deep. Although the water smells bad towards the shoreline and it's very shallow, we had decent fishing. We left at 7:45 pm. In that time we managed 29 bass, sunfish, crappie and pickeral. My dad had 16 and I had 13. Shallow running lures work best here, I did manage a strike on Heddon Torpedo, thought it would be a little early still. Not a bad afternoon of fishing
![]() Question: We did see some carp jumping, often too close for comfort. However, these carp looked much longer than the carp Im use to seeing. Are these grass carp? Just wondering. Last edited by AJFISH13; 10-11-2011 at 07:49 AM.. |
