PA North Opening weekend
Fished the Broadhead river in East Stroudsburg and up on Sat and Sunday this past weekend. At first the water was high but clear. My freind Greg Latsko and I fished hard with very little to show for it. Sat afternoon, when the rain really started coming down we headed up stream and he managed only a smaller brown trout but was broken off by something big. We then decided to call it a night and went back to his house for a well cooked meal of scallops, steak and potatos. When we woke up on Sunday, it was clear, but the river was in flood stage and brown. We had a very tough time fishing but ended putting together a nice catch. Greg got 2 really nice Brook trout and I ended up with a Golden, 2 rainbows and a brook trout that will hit the smoker tonight after being in a brine for 2 1/2 days. I'm having a problem with photo shop, so pictures will follow
