opening weekend recap

Fished south branch of the raritan river sat and sun am with my dad. opening day was slow but productive as we ended up with four brookies by 11 all on bait nothing touched the spinners.
Sun we started down stream a little further first hour and a half got me one fish on a spinner and nothing after that. More interesting note there was nobody fishing this stretch of the river this am. and only a handful of guys on opening day. I think i need to find a new spot for early in the year.

Keep on fishing, that area may have in season stocking. Crowds will thin out and fishing will be good.
