I'm there at 4:30am, park my van 15' in back of where I'm fishing, set up my rod in the holder and then grill up some Bacon, Egg and Cheese Sandwiches and relax with some Hot Coffee....

7:50 – Pull up to river
7:52 – Finish coffee
7:55 – Slide on waders, vest
7:58 – Walk down to river
8:00 – Cast line out
8:01 – Unhook first trout
8:02 – Unhook second trout
8:03 – Unhook third trout
8:04,5,6,7…You get the idea.

Took me a long time but I found a good opening day spot. Well stocked, few people, big water.

Too bad you can't make the meet and greet on Sat. I have a little commemorative poster I printed up for anybody that wants one. I'll most likely will be napping at 3 pm on Sunday!!

I usually like to be at my spot by 5 AM, but being the meet n' greet is at a state park, and doesn't open till sunrise, it looks like I get to sleep in a little later this year. Probably gonna fish the sweetwater again Sunday morning, then to the salt late morning or at night. From here on out, it's trout on Saturdays and surf on Sundays. Thank god my fiance is very understanding of my addiction!
