Default lake Michigan 18feet

Just saw on news,,, Coast Guard warning . Lake Michigan waves of 18 feet.

The Great Lakes have miserable windy weather compared to NJ.. The charter boats only run until Sept and typically don't start until May..

Its stupid rough and windy much of the year, and even in spring/summer season most guys use bigger boats than the typical NY/NJ inshore boat..

even the Finger Lakes are no bargain.. The winds howl either due north or due south all year long and most days are unfishable in a small boat for at least part of the day all year long... Its all trolling on most of these lakes, you don't see a whole lot of boats under about 15-20 feet here, and thats small... most lake fishermen here use 21 foot and up... bob
