Turnmill afternoon playtest
Grandson Chris, his friend Joey, and I hit Turnmill lake for a couple hours this afternoon with some new nymphs to try out. We walked to the spillway and started to fish. Chris caught a Pickerel right away as I caught a nice Pumpkinseed on the new rubberleg beadhead nymph. We caught seven more nice sunfish and missed numerous others. The fish were hitting the clear casting bubble when we twitched them. A nice afternoon outing was had by all. I would like to thank Bands for the info that put us in the fish.
The olive rubberleg nymph under the casting bubble was the ticket today. We could have caught more on bait but had more fun with the nymphs.
