Yesterday morning, we fished north of shark river inlet. We started off with decent fishing on bird life along with good readings along the bottom. We picked away on most drifts with an occasional flurry. There were cow nosed rays mixed in which gave anglers quite a fight. It slowed down midday when the wind started to blow. The last few days we have seen an improvement with fish in a couple different areas and staying on top feeding on bait.

This morning, I got a call from Captain Alan at 11:00 a.m. telling me they were fishing north of our inlet catching 2-5 lb blues jigging and drifting. There was a lot of action all around the boat and some anglers already had 8 fish. At the end of the day, some had 12-15. Fishing has continued to improve over the last few days and the blues are a little bigger than they have been so hopefully it will only continue to get better. Sailing daily for stripers and blues from 7:30 a.m. – 2:30 p.m. and every afternoon for our Family Fun and Sunset Cruise trip for fluke and sea bass from 4:30 p.m. – 8:30 p.m. You may even catch a sighting of a whale or some porpoises and enjoy the fireworks in Point Pleasant on Thursday nights!
