Went carping in 82 degree Colonial Lake this evening on a warm, cloudy day with a light south wind. Threw out a can of corn 🌽 for chum, then caught and released 6 bluegills, 2 brown bullheads to 15” and a golden shiner with Bowl and Basket whole kernel corn on 12 lb test line. I am going to apply for my 70th NJ Skillful Angler Recognition Award. Saw a beaver, muskrat, mosquito 🦟, Canada geese, mallards, turtles 🐢 and bryozoans. Took pics. Caught my 2,400th NJ fresh water fish 🐟 for this year.

Re: 2,400
I think it depends on the size of the fish...much like us they dont digest the actual kernels...not like us , they have tiny aholes....smaller the fish less chance they can pass them and they get backed up till death.... Just my buck fitty - who knows
