good saturday,tuff sunday
hit the cong at 6:30am looking for a few slabs.we hit a spot were they have been catching some good crappie and it did not let us down.it was a good pick of all nice ones for an hour then slowed up.we kept ten from 12 to 14 inches.we went and crabbed a coffee{ as it was 30 degrees} before we hit the next spot.we get to the spot and its cast and catch.we had crappie, bluegills, shiners & a few small pickerel.this fishing lasted till noon and we could have easily limited but released
everything there.headed over to gats for a burger and called it a day or so we thought.get home around 1:30 and start taking care of some things when my son says"you wana go up for the afternoon bite?".we loaded the car and went back to were we started.had 10 nice crappie and a couple of bluegills in about a hour and a half.all released and we headed home.a good day of fishing for sure. now for sunday,it was terrible.we were on the water again at 6:30,this time in the boat.we thought we could just go out there and sit right on them....Wrong!!!!.we fished hard from 6:30 till 12 noon with 4 slim darts to show for it.we tried everything even the "orange" fat heads with no luck.i guess we were do for one of those days.all and all a great easter weekend. |

Re: good saturday,tuff sunday
I knew Saturday would be great with the nice weather while I was at work. I finished cleaning my boat up on Sunday and will be out of the DH2 this Thursday- weather permitting.

Re: good saturday,tuff sunday
yes sir you did well saturday.as for sunday where you and your son were i said to myself those guys are going to put on a clinic in there with the cloud cover but as i read your report i was shocked to hear that was not the case. i found only one crappie and two sunnies on the north end then went to cresent cove and got a few more there. we still need some steady warmer weather to really turn things on.
