Doesn't anyone who fishes from a boat wear a life jacket anymore? Seems to be most boating fatalities involve people not wearing a PFD.

They still haven't found him yet.

Two drownings in the same day is odd, but this is the time of year that things like this happen.

They found it. Was down there around 945 and saw the boats all go to the shore line and then all leave. It was between Blackbrook cove and where the police boat normally is . http://www.mycentraljersey.com/story...lley/89105038/ /CENTER]

I was just about to report that. Still waiting on an ID.

I wonder how someone turns over a boat on a calm day.

Maybe they were tugging on a stuck anchor or they were both on one side of the boat looking over the side.

Does anyone know what kind of boat it was that capsized on Spruce Run? I've had my 14' Deep V on RV and SR 500 times and never had as much as a close call. Was it a kayak or jon boat?

I read it was a flat bottom Jon boat some where. Might have hit a submerged rock or stump that is normally in deep water and not noticed. Even in 5 ft of water there I'd imagine it would be tough to stand with that dam killer mud. I've been telling my friends that that lake going so low would some day take someone's life. I've been caught in waist deep mud in that area myself in the dark. Not allot of fun. He could have also been knocked out.
