Default past week reports

Fishing was kind of tough this past week, with a few days of not much catching and mostly smaller fish. The last really good day was the day Squatch took a nap and then woke up and stole my PB laker, but whatever i caught some nice ones too hahaha.

since then, I nabbed a few decent NJ trout, but haven't had too much time after work to really get the job done. I'm basically just running to certain spots and fishing them real quick, hoping for the best.

Bass fishing didn't really pan out, but we were able to at least corner some slab crappies for a bit and drop the hammer on them with blades and jigging raps. I used the refurbished fenwick rod that i dredged up a while back, which was cool. It seems to work great (although if it exploded, that would've been pretty cool too haha). just needs some grip/balance and to fully stabilize the reel seat.

Now this is a cool report, not only did you catch some decent lakers. You got some crappies on a fenwick that you dredged up from the depths and that is cool. So are you going cork or foam for the handle?

Lmk how it comes out. Curious to see. Maybe a foam handle for bikes, doors, pipes etc. Or get craft foam sheets and wrap it on + glue it

gonna see what i have laying around... i have cork but it's too thick. I actually like most of the blank exposed, but i need something a little around the reel seat and at the butt to balance it better.

Thumbs up Re: past week reports

I’ve thrown a few Fenwicks into almost all the NJ lakes after losing a big fish. It could be one of mine! Haha! Nice mixed bag of fish!
