My yearly ice fishing trip
Due to family commitments I usually only get on the ice once a year. Yesterday was that day. My buddy and I took our kids to a Passaic county pond. 4 pickerel and 4 perch all on tip ups. Nothing jigging other than a single 4" sunfish. It looked like we had the hot area. Lots of people fishing, but not much action. Fish in about 15' of water.
For those wondering about ice conditions, the ice was still in pretty good shape about 7" and the shoreline wasn't even too bad. Drove by Monksville and did not see anyone on the ice over there. Hopefully the local lakes can withstand the next 48 hours. |

Re: My yearly ice fishing trip
No one on the ice at Skunksville, that seems odd. At least you got out for a bit.
