Trailer Wheels Help
The tires on my trailer are frozen (on the drum brakes). They seem to be more stuck this year than before. Is there an easy way to loosen them up? i just take the wheel off and give a few wacks with the hammer. Then elbow grease turning them by hand.
To prevent this I've moved the trailer forward a few feet after backing up, kept the trailer jacked and turned them by hand every once in a while (no so much this year). Not sure what else to do. Any tips are appreciated. Thanks |

Re: Trailer Wheels Help
Wd40 and a Hammer.. Pb Blaster is my fav.. spray them down and let soak for a few.. then go to town with a big hammer.. Get under the trailer and hit them from the back... Leave one lug on loose so when it does break free the wheel does not go flying off..
Once you get them off id put some anti seaz on them before putting them back on so it does not happen again..

Re: Trailer Wheels Help
Just remove the brakes, unless you are towing a large boat you should be fine. I tow a 25 footer and camp marine removed mine for me.
