Default Hello NJfishing.com

Hello everyone

This is Captain Phil and I am very excited to be part of this site. Just a brief update on what is going on.

Last night we had a private charter that was a great trip and something new for us. We had a big catch which mostly consisted of Mud Hake (ling), lots of Big squid, an unusual amount of Mackerel for an evening trip and a sprinkling of nice sized Whiting

We are currently fishing for a mixed bag of Cod, Haddock and Pollack. we are seeing more and more Whiting all the time with guys catching them on Cod Jigs which only tells me there are a lot of Whiting around

Due to the impending closure of Cod and Haddock in the Gulf Of Maine effective 9/1 we will be attempting to do some Whiting trips as well. We have caught alot of Whiting on a few private charters recently

Some days our keeper tally's are more Cod than Haddock and some days it is mostly Pollack

The start of our fall Pollack Run is only weeks away

I along with all of the Captains, Mates and Office Personal are looking forward to meeting the members of Njfishing.com

Thank you Gerry for such a warm welcome to this great fishing site

I have fished with Eastmans a number of times. They are top notch professionals that always give 100%.

The drive is about the same as going to Gloucester. The pollock fishing will be insane during the fall.
