Default Expensive Rod Guides

Why are Fuji Torzite guides so expensive? Are they that much better?

Just a thinner ring and lighter weight. Not worth it in my opinion. Alconites or sic are the way to go.

The actual Torzite material only makes the guide slightly more expensive than Alconite or SIC. The titanium frame is what jacks the price. To me, the corrosion resistance of titanium is worth the extra cost. I've never seen a Fuji "stainless steel" guide that didn't rust.
