Default New PB from the local pond

Dale keeps telling me nooooo, but the fishies, the fishies keep telling me yeahhh. The little pond keeps producing so I keep going and boy did it produce today. Get there at about 4 and first cast I have a fish on. Hes a good size but Unfortunately he jumps and spits it at me and I'm thinking great here we go. So i make my way around the pond just tossing, letting the senko do the initial fall and reeling in right away because weeds arent allowing for much success. So i throw out and for some reason I decide I'm gonna pop it a couple times and on the fall my line starts to move slowly, making me think the sunnies are poking at it again . I set the hook and shes on. My drag starts to run which never happens with the fish in this lake so I know this is gonna get good. I work her as best I can keeping her from jumping and thankfully get that momma to land. I immediately know shes my PB because shes got some shoulders on er and is about as long as my torso. Throw her on the scale and she comes in between 4 and 4.5 so ill call her 4.25 and shes just over 20 inches. I spent nearly 750 bucks on new gear this winter but didnt upgrade my shitty spring scale to a digital. I got to do that. Did my best to get a picture to show her size and sent her on her way. Picture doesnt do her shoulders justice but I know how big she was so thats what matters. Caught a few more thick shorties before calling it a day. Pike a thon is starting soon so getting some bassing in to warm up. I havent been updating but I have been getting out almost daily and catching some good fish and still avoiding the skunk for the year. Thanks for the read and tight lines to those in the pike a thon starting in a couple days. Me and Andre are gonna be putting in serious work!!

Nice Fish!
And even better that you caught it from a small pond that lots probably overlook.
Good Job!
