Spring lake today
Well since the weather is calling for 10 inches by me tomorrow I decided to give trout fishing a shot today since it's 65 degrees out today... I used a 1/32 jig head and berkley 1 inch swimming minnow a try.. three hours later I had two nice rainbows and two decent size largemouth... all of which lived to swim another day I'll try and post pics when I get home..stay safe tomorrow guys and catch them up.

Re: Spring lake today
Nice job on snagging trout and LMB! I am going out after work to try and catch the tail end of this warm weather as well. Looks likes temps are going to drop pretty quickly this evening but hopefully the fish will still be biting. Plan to target trout as well but hoping I might get lucky and snag my first bass of 2017. Sounds like light jigheads with minnows or grubs may be the ticket.

Re: Spring lake today
Nice going Eddie on the C&R... definitely feels like Spring out today but reality will be back tonight with a vengeance!! I usually don't get over to Spring Lake until March, but good to know the fish are hungry already ....

Re: Spring lake today
Thanks for the kind replys guys.. I always like to give and take advice there were guys out there throwing spinners the whole time I was out there and didn't see them do anything.. there were two guys fishing near me that caught at least two trout each that I saw on the fly... this time of year I believe the smaller and slower the presentation the better just my 2 cents... good luck guys
