Happy thanksgiving..Aeroflex tomorrow
Happy thanksgiving all, I’m gonna bring the kayak to aeroflex tomorrow was wondering if anyone would like to head out also. Was also thinking about wawayanda, if anyone prefers that lake.

Re: Happy thanksgiving..Aeroflex tomorrow
Thanks Eddie, fished from dawn till about 1:00, got one small pickerel.
Beautiful day to be out on the kayak. I have to get a good fish finder over the winter. It looks like that lake has a lot of steep drop offs, I’m pretty sure the fish finder would have helped. |

Re: Happy thanksgiving..Aeroflex tomorrow
At least you didn't get skunked. Went to Tilcon with my son today. We don't know how to fish the salmon, but we each got hit by pickerel, and I lost another about two pounds boatside just as Matt was about to net it.

Re: Happy thanksgiving..Aeroflex tomorrow
Lots of pickerel in Aeroflex. A fish finder will help for sure so you can see what depth the fish (LL salmon and rainbows) are holding, my guess would be 0-20’ down suspended over deeper water and drop offs at the moment. Lots of bait in the lake, lots of steep drop offs, lots of weeds on the edges. You might see some surface action from the recently stocked trout and salmon.

Re: Happy thanksgiving..Aeroflex tomorrow
Good luck Tuesday, Bruce.
Anthrax...I agree, and there was a lot of small swirls on top. A guy I spoke to said they were probably stocked rainbows. |

Re: Happy thanksgiving..Aeroflex tomorrow
Stella Blue, we cancelled minutes ago. We could have thrown spinners, true, but like live shiners this time of year & would have felt the lack of them. (At least we might have caught some pickerel on the shiners.) No bait shops have any in stock. Bait and Boat in Stanhope supplies, and the supply chain has been broken for days now. Matt and I got some of the last Dows had in stock on Saturday. Lucked out. Truck is supposed to come tomorrow and I believe it does from Arkansas. It's probably COVID related.
