Default Searching for My Valentine on LH

Headed out to fish the big lake tomorrow in search of my valentine... Hoping she has all her fins and likes to eat. The finaky eaters are the ones you have to watch out for...

Should be a fun time if anybody is free and is looking for something to do. Hoping to meet PGAProfisional out there and Billy my good luck charm for soft water LH fishing.

Will be out there in front of barnes bros...(lol Jim) from about ten till dusk... look for the blue clam shelter

Ahhh been putting the time and a LOT of effort in the last few weeks... Was it my turn to cross paths with a decent fish? Was hoping for a toothy critter of the angry feeding machine variety...

Persistant north wind and fairly new moon (waxing gibbous) kicked my ass... managed two perch.

Had left over bait from up north... suckers that paid $1 apiece... i know Jim the smaller has been most productive lately but like i said i was motivated to use up what i had... so littered 8 dead scented traps all over... swing and a....

perch hit a shiner that survived in my bucket since last thurs without an airator... props fins and furs.. saved us from the skunk...

Felt like we left it out there on the ice just didn't pan out... i mean we didn't just wave the white flag we pushed and pushed right up till dusk...

Of course one of the perch hit right as lunch was coming off the grill hahaha happens every time... had to choke down the burger on the run for what ended up being Billy's first fish of 2014 and his ice fishing cherry...

I won't be back out there for a week or so... hope some of the snow blows off by then...
