Default Not a “Crappie” Day

Got out today for 2 or so hours to Bee Meadows Park by my house. Was overcast but not too windy. Hit 3 nice crappies, 1 bigger than my hand and two smaller ones. One hit a gold Panther Martin and the other two a small black / silver Rapala.

Was one other guy fishing as well, I was wading the edges of the lake and he was bank fishing with bait / minnows probably. I saw him pull up about 5 or 6 more than me, probably crappies as well. No bass or pickerel as I was hoping for. But soon !

All in all, nice to get out for a bit, beat the skunk and it wasn’t a bad day.

No pictures, sorry.

Good deal. Try the Jig and bobber method next time. Crappies love it.
