Fished out or fish educated?

Went to a local pond today that gets a lot of pressure. Largemouths were on the nests. About one next every 15 ft of shoreline. I went there test a new fly reel on my long forgotten 8 wt. so no luck with what Ihad with me but this place must be loaded with Bass. Try and catch them. There was no one fishing.
