Raritan river 5/8/23:
Fished up around Duke Island Park for trout, did ok. The water just fell below 1000 CFS at Manville so wading was "interesting" to say the least. By 11 am the tree "schmutz" was so bad I threw in the towel. Got one up on the "shale flats" in honor of Craig's dad Mr. Norris.

Earlier in the day I hit the Musky downstream from Bloomsbury and got 11 with the same lures (all small rainbows). The water there was also a little high and fast, but that definitely beats being too low. |
