Default What's your preferred bunker rig?

For snagging and using live bunker or netting bunker for the livewell, what is your preferred set up?
1) weighted treble on a mono leader to a swivel to your mainline - snag N drop
2) use #1 then switch bunker to set up with single hook
3) unweighted treble with a sliding egg sinker mono leader rig
4) Other? Specify.

Thanks for the input.

Percy or a betts net for netting .

9/0 octopus hook , on 4 foot flouro leader , hooked in nose, back or tail, as use different hook locations depending on how want the fish to swim ,and the drift.

snag rigs I like the lightest weight ones as they stay in the bunker better

I use 2 ways. First, the weighted snag and I swap rods with a live one hooked in the back.

Next is a rig similar to a HI Low Rig. I use 3 dropper loops, with a large treble on each dropper. I place the sinker on the very end and this rig will often get me 2-3 baits, doing less damage than the weighted hooks. I use a single loop version of this in the surf as well fir snagging and dropping bunker without changing rods.

I like that dropper loop idea with the weight at the bottom. Better for casting and then you have a no weighted hook in your bait for the snag and drop. Nice. What pound test leader and what type of weight?

From a boat, I use 40#. Surf I use 30#. Weight....I will use a Frogs Tongue in the surf and I prefer a flat bank from the boat. My bottom loops get a long as 8-9" sometimes, to allow a little more movement. Top loops will be tighter to the leader
