A. shad
Early this AM walking over the Bulls Island pedestrian bridge, young-of-the-year A. shad were flipping out of the water up and down the very low river. They glinted like silver dollars in the sunlight.
The first week of August was always the first seining for y.o.y. shad. Followed by the beginning of Sept. and Oct.
