For the price and performance it will be tough to beat the battalion series rods.
The 1220 is my go to rod for bucktails to 6 OZ
The 1530 for everything 8 OZ and above.
And the 1530 is also a great striper rod

Great sensitivity , and super backbone for catching big fluke

The shogun 7'6" Med custom, or ML factory rod would both work depending on what action you like. I've used the ML factory rod dragging big bucktails and baits up in MA...
