Truely a sad day for the Fishing Community and all that knew Sam. A true gentleman, who would always go out of his way to help anyone, never saw him without a smile. God Bless You Sam, Fair Seas and Tight Lines my friend. We are all better for having known you.

Prayers and love to Patty and the Family, God Bless.

RIP Sam. Great man who was an inspiration to us when we started. Gave us plenty of pointers and loved shooting the breeze with him. Will definitely be missed by all of us.

While I never met Sam in person or even bought one sinker from him we pm'ed a bit about freshwater fishing in Bergen County in the 60's and 70's.
Since I grew up in Paramus we had a lot in common when it came to Trout fishing there. A genuine person if there ever was one.

RIP Sam
