Default A Message from Marilyn (MsGulp)

Our friend Marilyn (MsGulp) is spending time reminiscing of all the amazing people she has met over the years on all of her great adventures on the water. Reminiscing of the fishing stories to be remembered and the people surrounding her at those great moments.

She has asked Sandi and I to put a post up for her on NJfishing.com and asks us to mention to you.... PRAYER.

Prayer is a powerful word. I pray with gratitude to have such a dear friend that walked along side so many of us and brought so many of us together. I pray with gratitude that we have all shared moments together that will always be there to bring us a smile. I pray that everyone is fortunate enough to find a friend as loving and as true as ours.
May the seas always be calm, the sun always shinning and the fish always biting.

Sandi and I would like to share:
"Our friend took us to the ocean to teach us about the great mystical mysteries above and below. In doing so we learned lessons of patience, skill and true happiness. In waters as calm as they can be rough, as deep as they can be wide. Wether the tight line never finds its fish, the day always starts and ends with a friend and a smile. It is a true friend who takes you to the ocean to show you that this ocean and all of the greatness it holds, is the true definition of your friendship. Thank you dear friend Mama Marilyn"

My thoughts and prayers sent to Marilyn. She a good person and has more passion for fishing than most guys out there. Sitting in the A.H. parking lot at 4:00am to secure the pulpit to Fluke. Who does that?

Me and the family will be thinking of you.

Couldn't agree with you more, I remember a few years ago on the Gambler cod trips. She is a trooper, was there before any one. Fishes hard as any other man. We had some great times fishing together on the Gambler. My friend you're in my prayers. God bless you!

All the best, Jay

Just a note for those of you who are new to the site and might not know Marilyn/MS Gold.

I met Marliyn on the site about 10 years ago met her in person when she came to her first NJfishing.com Christmas party. A great lady who as others mentioned, was way more into fishing than most of us.

Over the years Marilyn attended many of the NJFishing.com trips and every Christmas she'd donate 2 baskets of cheer which would be raffled off to raise money for the charities and organizations which we support, most often those monies were donated to the RFA. She also called many of our sponsors to brow beat them into donating door prizes as well.

A great lady and friend to us all who is well deserved of our thoughts and prayers.

The days Marilyn and I split the starboard/port stern corners on board the Misty Morn (while scheming to keep the stern between us free from googans) will always be among my fondest fishing memories.

Marilyn is a one-off. There is no one like her in the world. My thoughts are with you.

Always enjoyed fishing with Marilyn. Could never figure out how she kept those nails so perfect while fishing.

Once I took some flack for a post on this forum, she immediately PMed with her cell # and said call me, I can get Gerry to delete it. Never called, but have loved her since.

Praying for you.
